And we're off!

December 29,2009
When they said Trudie should be prepared for a 12 hour day at MD Anderson....they meant it. She got there at 7:00a.m. and didn't leave until 7:00p.m. It was a long day of blood tests, waiting, xrays, waiting, CAT scans, and waiting. She didn't receive any results or updated information....that will come Thursday morning when we go back to meet with the doctor. As always, when it was time to leave the hospital, Trudie walked faster than all of us and beat us out the front door. She continues to be amazingly strong in body, spirit and faith. Thank you for all the prayers and positive thoughts. More info on Thursday.....

  2. Dear "Trooper Trudie" (my new nickname for you),

    Soak up these words:

"I lift up my eyes to the hills; where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, maker of heaven and earth. He will not allow your foot to slip. He who keeps you will not slumber. He who keeps Israel will neither slumber or sleep. The Lord is your keeper; the Lord is your shade on your right hand. The sun will not strike you by day nor the moon by night. The Lord will protect you from all evil; He will keep your soul. The Lord will guard your going out and your coming in from this time forth and forever." Psalm 121

    I love you,

    Your "other" son

  6. Comment from Lawson, regarding "Gus", etc. :"He been really good, and he's really cute, and he is playful but sometimes he bites us. I love you Trudie, and Jim and I wish you didn't have to go through all this and go over thare for a whole week because I want her to be next door".

Trudie, I want you both next door too, but I am so glad you are there getting the best help! We really miss you guys, you may not want to come back if you enjoy hanging out with Dana too much. I hope he can irritate you at least a little so you'll be sure to head back as soon as you can ;-) We are still covering this with prayers, coming out of a sweet little boys lips who loves you...there just must be special power in that! Your faith is a precious example that I promise to draw on, I love how you look at things and I always have. Love you so much!
