Update to yesterday's Phase 10 episode....today I beat my granddaughter AND my daughter-in-law. I'm on a roll. They said it's not going to be much fun to play with me if I keep beating them. But, they can still tease me about the fact that Dana got me a new cell phone about two weeks ago and I still can't figure it out! Ashley finally wrote out a "how-to" list for some of the functions because she got tired from telling me over and over how to do things. Maybe I should take it easy on her during the next round of Phase 10 to show my appreciation....

  1. Well, Good Morning! Your last two messages were great. I sure am glad you can eat anything you want, I had a feeling that Jim was going to do that anyway. You know if you get your kids playing 42, you can probably get Jim out of the media room and beat up on him a little. If any of your kids know how to play Skip Bo, you would love that. Once when my daughter Shelly was at Lubbock Christian College, I was going to teach her that gambling could really be costly by playing a game of Wahoo. We started out playing for a dollar, which I lost. Then we started playing for double or nothing so I could get even and quit. We were playing the best 2 out of 3 each time and I had not won one game, I had lost 14 straight games. At $64 down, I did the math real quick to see where this was going, so I just paid her the cash and quit. There is nothing like teaching your kids the sins of gambling. You know what they say, "you are never too old to learn". I told you this story so you would know to watch out, you kids are smarter than you think. They are suckering you into an ambush, kids really have no mercy, they love to win. Y'all have fun today!!! Bye, Tommy

  2. Hi Trudie!
I'm Rachel, one of Sheila's Monday Night Bible Study girls. I must say beating ANYONE in the Wright family is quite an accomplishment. They must get that from you! I love your blog, what a great way to keep in touch. I'll be following along as you go through treatment. Sounds like you have some pretty great doctors so that's always a blessing.
Glad to hear that you are getting some great meals from Ashley and Sheila. They are great cooks!
I was so glad to hear that you can get your treatments there in Sugarland. That place has everything! I work in the medical center and parking can be such a hassle!
Well take care and I will continue to pray for you and Jim.
    Rachel
